Who are we and what do we do?
The Health Coaches Association supports Health Coaches in achieving clinical competency, maintaining continuous professional development requirements, and providing opportunities for networking to support individuals and the profession as a whole.
The Health Coaches Association processes personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulation and laws. This notice provides the necessary information regarding your rights and our obligations, and explains how, why and when we process your personal data, who we may share that information with and how we keep it secure.

The Health Coaches Association processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our services. What safeguards are in place to ensure data that identifies me is secure?
The Health Coaches Association only use information that may identify you in accordance with GDPR. This requires us to process personal data only if there is a legitimate basis for doing so and that any processing must be fair and lawful.
We take your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data, including restricted access, IT authentication, firewalls and anti-virus/malware protection. We also ensure the information we hold is kept in secure locations, restrict access to information to authorised personnel and contractors only, protect personal and confidential information held on equipment such as laptops with encryption (which masks data so that unauthorised users cannot see or make sense of it). We ensure external data processors that support us are legally and contractually bound to operate and prove security arrangements are in place where data that could or does identify a person are processed.
Transfers Outside the EU
The Health Coaches Association utilise products or services (or parts of them) that may be hosted/stored in non-EU countries, which means that we may transfer any information which is submitted by you through the website outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), including MailChimp, WIX, Survey Monkey, Zoho, Acuity, Zoom.
Therefore, when you use our website/send us an email, the personal information you submit may be stored on servers which are hosted in non-EU countries. Where this is the case, we have taken steps to ensure that those providers use the necessary level of protection for your information and abide by strict agreements and measures set out by The Health Coaches Association to protect your data and comply with the relevant data protection laws.

The Health Coaches Association only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary.
Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or unsubscribe.
